Pangkor Island is situated at the mouth of Dinding River. From Lumut you will have to take a ride on a ferry to reach the Pangkor Jetty. The ferry service plies the route at 30 minutes interval. The trip will take 20 to 30 minutes. From Pangkor Jetty a taxi van will take you to Teluk Nipah. You may also charter the van for round the island trip to visit tourists attractions such as the satay fish factory, the Garden of General Lin (Fu Lin Kung) and the replica of the Great Wall of China, the Pangkor Town, the Dutch Fort and Historical Rock in Teluk Gedung, Pasir Bogak beach and Turtle Bay. Private cars and motorcycles are available for rent for you mobility around the island. The island is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It's hilly landscape and well preserved rainforests are ideal condition for jungletrekking and other activities. |

This island has a population of almost 10,000 people. The primary occupation of the natives of Pangkor is fishing and marine product industry.
